On the fourth of December 2009, I bought a new computer from the money I earned. It feels great to be able to buy something by working hard for it. My baby monster has been born. Although he (yes, my computer has a name) may not be the most powerful computer out there, I can say that I’m very, very proud of him.

Now, I do see everything while working on design mock-ups at home, compared to my old computer where the workarea in Photoshop is only about half the the size of the monitor. Yup, I’ve upgraded from a 1024×768 resolution to a whooping 1,920 x 1,080. I don’t get frustrated using the computer anymore, since from a Pentium 4, I’m now running a Quad-core with 4GB RAM.

Now, I can do some artsy stuff again with my computer, create wallpapers, artworks, free web layouts and hopefully to have a portfolio up soon.

P.S. My old computer was given fully to my brother. Now, he is also enjoying having that computer all for himself. He seems a bit shy on using mine, even though I gave him permission.

:) Congratulations, your monster sounds like a keeper. I’m really envious of your screen size ATM. =D

Btw, the scan of your drawing looks great.. that photo did not do enough justice to it before.

Ha, cute. I named my laptop Monster. =P It’s quite big for a laptop as well so most of the time it stays on my desk. The downside is the weight/heat it produces, although the amount of screen space is welcomed for designs/coding. Glad you’re happy and being productive!
