Thanks for the compliment. I do agree about the contrast. It would have been better if the face had a more lighter background that what's currently on. But more curls would end the minimalistic effect, I think. Hehehe.

The beautiful lines, the composition of very few symbols hits any viewer. On that note it lacks the power to bring us in to the centre of the image. When using minimal element maybe a bit more contrast could enhance this, Perhaps maybe a slight glow to direct the eye towards the face first, then put in a bit more curls -maybe not-.
