Fear

A chance to paint after a few years arrived this past weekend, now the second time I tried painting. This is a school project of Huxley wherein he needs to create a poem and a painting. Obviously, he was the one who did the poem, while I took control with the brushes.

Lacking time, we didn’t have preparations like having a latex first coat, so the water-color was just too runny and absorbent. Nevertheless, considering his chosen topic, the uncontrollable nature of the watercolor paint was used to its extent. This illustration was done in less than one hour. Yes, that fast since I don’t think adding more details would have been possible.

Making this piece made me suddenly interested to try oil painting. I am hoping to be able to create some paintings soon.

The preview is quite bad in quality since it was taken from my cellphone.

Urge to draw

I had a sudden urge to draw at 3am today. I know I wouldn’t be able to sleep if my hand is itching that much to do something, so I did give myself a favor and started drawing.

It’s another attempt for a realistic style, but I guess his hair needs the most improvement. I finished this around 6am, I do need to sleep so I was lazy or too tired to finish his clothes (I did this after my work). Anyway, hope you like this drawing done with my Wacom in 3 hours. Comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Boris Airay

I have recently played the game — Heart no Kuni no Alice. As part of the “bishounen” fanatics, I had that deep urge to draw one. The first route I took on the game was with Boris Airey, so I drew him. He definitely is a lovable character! This is dedicated to all the bishounen fanatics, as well for the lovers of Boris.

This artwork is part of my pencil control and shading practice. Hope you like it! Comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
