My fellow Arian, boss and mentor turned 28 today. Happy Birthday Wayne! May you have more birthdays to come. I’m sure you’ll still keep on rocking this year, and never cease to amaze everyone. Keep it up!

My dear friend Robert Nestor Boller III passed away just this March 22 at 23 years old. I was told recently by one of his classmates about the incident and thankfully been able to attend the last day of his vigil this morning at about 3am till 6am.

He’s been one of my close friends during our high school days. Those were the days when I really needed a friend and he was there. I have a lot of things I’d like to thank you for…

• For the time you spent on listening on my complaints on my crappy high school life.
• Catching a frog for me to dissect for my Biology subject.
• Hanging out with me during your spare time.
• Entertaining me whenever I attend the Santacruzan Party at our subdivision.
• And for being my Niisan (older brother in japanese).

As the last thing I could do for you, I have here a drawing of you done on my Wacom. Too bad it isn’t detailed, since you didn’t have any detailed photos of yourself in the internet. I’ll never forget you with all the things you did and for all the time you spent with me. I’m also very sad that you left us on the day right after my birthday. I’m sure you’re happy on where you are right now since you’re one of the kindest people I’ve ever known. If ever reincarnation is true, I’d like to be your friend all over again. Farewell Niisan…

1. I used to want to be a doctor when I was a child, but gave up due to the number of years you have to study.
2. I still want to study right now,  just on a better and tougher IT school for masteral or an art school.
3. I started out drawing due to envy of a person I know who can draw well.
4. I cry when someone criticizes my “best work” in a bad way.
5. Before engaging in Badminton, I didn’t have a sport.
6. I hate my computer now, because of the small screen resolution and its now become old and slow. I’ll buy a new one in a month or so.
7. I’m from an Asian country, but I don’t like rice. I eat it just because it’s there on the table, I’d rather have wheat bread though.
8. I am disgusted by the taste of mayonnaise and ketchup. I won’t be eating something using these ingredients.
9. I easily fall for anime characters. Yes, they are just too handsome and too adorable.
10. We often have canned goods/processed food served at home so now my tongue doesn’t accept them anymore.

I can still remember the time when she was given as a pet to my younger brother. Till the time that she waits for me to arrive from my work. We already miss Sakura and no one can ever replace her.

The program took a whole day to finish, which the school divided into two parts, the morning was our Achievement Day, while our Graduation was held in the afternoon.

During this day I received a total of three awards, The Best Thesis, Best in Java and On Job Training Excellence. Though only two of the awards had medals. I don’t belong to the Cum Laude though, since I’m very picky with my subjects, and I don’t have much patience to study.

After four years of pressure and hard work, we finally reached the last line of our college lives. This day being a very joyful moment for us, I do feel sadness to leave the school, and missing my classmates. Now, I’ll be “officially” facing work life (since I have been working since I was 17 on a part-time/contractual basis). I wish all the best for me, and for my classmates and to all graduates for this year!

Patchen and Me

I am very happy to see the photos of me and Patchen during our sembreak (the last week of October), uploaded today at Friendster. She was my classmate during high school for four years. She is also a graduating student with the same course as me, but enrolled in a different school. Sad but true, she is studying in Cebu, while I’m still here in our hometown, Tacloban City. She still visits Tacloban City during holidays and sembreaks.

This sembreak, we managed to hang out for a day, only for one day though due to my thesis submissions and other major projects that was keeping me busy. The entire day was fun, roaming around downtown, playing badminton, chatting to our heart’s content and we ended up having snacks at my mom’s office.
